Tampa Bay Rays Head to the 2026 World Series at Tropicana Field

The Tampa Bay Rays are heading to the World Series! For the third time in franchise history, the Rays will compete for baseball's biggest prize, this time facing the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2026 World Series.

The excitement is building across Tampa Bay as Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg prepares to host Games 3 and 4, along with Game 5 if necessary. Whether you're a lifelong Rays fan or visiting the area for the Fall Classic, here's what you need to know before heading to the ballpark.

When Are the World Series Games at Tropicana Field?

The 2026 World Series begins Friday, October 23, in Milwaukee before moving to St. Petersburg for the Rays' home games.

Here's the schedule for Tropicana Field:

  • Game 3: Monday, October 26, at 8 p.m. ET
  • Game 4: Tuesday, October 27, at 8 p.m. ET
  • Game 5: Wednesday, October 28, at 8 p.m. ET (if necessary)

The best-of-seven series will return to Milwaukee for Games 6 and 7 if needed.

This marks the Rays' third World Series appearance, following trips in 2008 and 2020. Both Tampa Bay and Milwaukee are competing for their first World Series championship, making this matchup especially exciting for fans of both teams.

Heading to Tropicana Field? Plan Ahead

World Series baseball brings plenty of excitement, but it also means increased traffic, busy streets and high demand for parking around Tropicana Field.

Located in downtown St. Petersburg, the stadium is easily accessible from Tampa, Clearwater, St. Pete Beach and surrounding Tampa Bay communities.

If you're attending one of the games, consider these travel tips:

  • Leave early. Allow extra travel time, particularly if you're crossing the Howard Frankland Bridge from Tampa.
  • Plan your transportation in advance. Avoid last-minute arrangements on game day.
  • Check stadium information. Review the Rays' official website for updated parking, entry and security details.
  • Arrange your return trip. World Series games can run late, so make sure you have a transportation plan for after the final out.
